The bathroom is cruising right along with a ton of progress over the last six weeks, though it won't be completed until the end of this month when the plumbers are available for their final install. I was able to get drywall installed and the flooring in, then started installing some of the finishes as well. Having things like the sink and the mirror up on the wall honestly helped me get things off the floor and the basement a little more cleaned up.
To be honest, this is not my dream bathroom. In a perfect world with unlimited budgets, I'd have a colorfully tiled shower and wainscoting. I'd bring the 40s arches downstairs and add one in the tub and shower alcove... and I would have a whole separate area for the laundry. But, this is not a perfect world. Budgets aren't limitless, space and existing configurations are a factor, and kids break things. Upstairs, I got exactly the bathroom I planned, exactly how I wanted it (down to the corner tub!). And I considered waiting on this bathroom until I could have exactly what I wanted.
